Islamia (“the app”, “we”, “our”) is an Android application designed to support Quran reading, prayer, Qibla, remembrance and personal spiritual routines. This policy explains what information the app uses, where it is stored, and when third-party services may process data.
1. Information you provide
The app may store an optional display name, prayer location label, coordinates, time zone, calculation method, Quran bookmarks, reading position, font size, Tasbih counters, goals, streaks, achievements, reminder settings and similar preferences. These are stored locally on your device in this version.
2. Location information
If you choose “Use my current location,” Islamia requests location permission so Android can provide coordinates for prayer-time and Qibla calculations. Islamia does not perform continuous background location tracking. You can instead use city presets or enter coordinates manually.
3. Prayer reminders and Adhan
Islamia may request notification and exact-alarm capabilities so prayer reminders can be scheduled near prayer times. Optional Adhan playback uses Android foreground media playback and the text-to-speech engine installed on your device. Text-to-speech handling may depend on your device and the selected speech-engine provider.
4. Quran and audio
The bundled Quran text is available offline. If you choose to play Quran recitation, the app connects to third-party audio servers to stream the selected Surah. Those providers may receive standard network information such as your IP address as part of delivering the audio stream.
5. Advertising and Google services
Islamia uses Google AdMob to display advertising. Google and its partners may process data such as device identifiers, IP address, app interaction information, diagnostics and advertising-related signals in accordance with Google’s policies and applicable consent requirements. Where required, Islamia provides ad privacy choices through Google’s consent tools.

6. Sharing, rating and feedback
Share actions use the Android share interface. Rating actions may open Google Play or a web browser. Feedback may open your email application addressed to islamiaapp@gmail.com. Data you send using those external services is governed by the policies of the service you choose.
7. Local storage and deletion
Most Islamia preferences and progress are stored locally on the device. You can remove this local information by clearing Islamia’s app storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app. Because Islamia does not provide an account system in this version, there is no Islamia cloud account to delete.
8. Data security
We aim to minimise the amount of information handled by the app and keep core progress on-device. No mobile application or internet service can guarantee absolute security, especially when third-party services or network connections are involved.
9. Children
Islamia is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or profile system. Parents or guardians should supervise device permissions, internet access and advertising settings where appropriate.
10. Accuracy of religious utilities
Prayer times, Qibla bearings and Hijri dates are calculated utilities and can differ from local mosque timetables, local moon sighting, device sensor calibration or regional conventions. Users should follow trusted local religious guidance when there is a discrepancy.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when app features, third-party services or legal requirements change. The effective date shown at the top will be updated when material changes are published.
